In the article author examines the role of natural science and engineering methodology, and how it can be used for nowadays economy and management. Author analyzed the features of the innovational economy’s transaction institutions for the intellectual agency and ways of using the natural science and engineering methodology to imperfect these institutions. Organizing of the engineering works is presented as an example of practical using the institutional approach and natural science methodology.

While market develops dynamically, professional educational programs are static. This entails a non-competitiveness of graduates in the labor market. Only dynamical leveling of final training competences with actual professional competences can solve the problem. It means that a curriculum should be dynamically changed during the education. This paper deals with an educational approach that dynamically adjusts curriculums in accordance with market's requirements.

Lozenko V. K., Tulchinskaya Y. I. Methodical Approach to the Assessment of Business Setup Level of Electricity Industry in the Metropolitan Agglomerations


The authors developed a scientific and methodical approach to evaluating the integral level of «business setup» of power complex in the metropolitan agglomeration and show its usability by the example of the Moscow agglomeration. The value of this level is 5.50 (middle of the 5th «business setup»). The proposed general approach can be used to assess the level of «business setup» of any economic sector’s infrastructure, management system and human resources in the metropolitan agglomeration.

Rygin V. E. Bankruptcy Risk Assesment Model for the Steel Companies


The article provides strengths and weaknesses analysis of bankruptcy risk assessment models using in financial analysis and bankruptcy prediction in steel companies. The main benefits of using of logit models (logistic regression models) are emphasizing in comparison with discriminant models (discriminant analysis models). Author presents a new logit model of bankruptcy risk assessment for steel company.

This article discusses the status and prospects of development of the shipbuilding industry of the Russian machine-building as one of the strategic sectors of the Russian machine-building. Highlighted serious problems in some segments of the shipbuilding industry, the forecasting of the Russian shipbuilding production’s prospects in the on the home market until 2020, analyzed the position of Russia in world shipbuilding.

Author presents the results of analyzing the centralized heat supply systems in Rostov-on-Don, Volgodonsk and Krasnodar and how these systems’ pressure on the environment depends on the technical and economic features of the systems’ functioning. Author presents a method of the economic valuation of the heat-and-power industry’s affecting the environment and the way of grounding the expenses for providing these systems’ stable functioning.
